Student assistant for a part-time graphic designer

The Institute for Computational Systems Biology directed by Prof. Dr. Jan Baumbach at the Universität Hamburg is looking for a highly motivated and creative student, who is interested in working with us as a part-time Graphic Designer (m/f/d). Your role will be in shaping a streamlined visual representation of our research including the creation of graphics for our web presence, scientific publications, third party funding applications as well as teaching material
What we offer:

A student assistant position (“studentische Hilfskraft” or “wissenschaftliche Hilfskraft”) for up to 36 h/month

While on-site work is preferred, off-site work can be discussed
Your qualifications:

Strong knowledge of InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator and BioRender (or similar)

Previous experience in graphic design, preferably with link to science

Some background in biomedicine, biology, or similar is ideal

Solid German and English skills, at least one of these as a native tongue

Strong communication skills

Ability to work independently, dependability, flexibility, willingness to cooperate and work in a team
