The Institute for Computational Systems Biology directed by Prof. Dr. Jan Baumbach at the Universität Hamburg is looking for a highly motivated and creative student, who is interested in working with us as a part-time Graphic Designer (m/f/d). Your role will be in shaping a streamlined visual representation of our research including the creation of graphics for our web presence, scientific publications, third party funding applications as well as teaching material

What we offer: 

• A student assistant position (“studentische Hilfskraft” or “wissenschaftliche Hilfskraft”) for up to 36 h/month

• While on-site work is preferred, off-site work can be discussed

Your qualifications: 

• Strong knowledge of InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator and BioRender (or similar)

• Previous experience in graphic design, preferably with link to science

• Some background in biomedicine, biology, or similar is ideal

• Solid German and English skills, at least one of these as a native tongue

• Strong communication skills

• Ability to work independently, dependability, flexibility, willingness to cooperate and work in a team
